Can This Even Be Classified As A Haul?

Hi lovelies. *waves* I literally picked up a few items while I happened to make a stop at one of my "happy places"...Tar-jay Target. Here's a pic of my little bundle of joy....

I had heard good things about Baby Lips and great things about the 24hr Color Tattoo so naturally I had to try them out. Curiosity led me to try out the e.l.f's defining eye brush and the inexpensive travel sized Pond's cleansing wipes caused me to pick it up as well. I will go through a brief opinion about each product excepting the Baby Lips. I want to do a separate post for that, I so pleased with this purchase. :-)

First of I would like to discuss the elf's defining eye brush,I use this brush to apply my highlight color right under the brows. And I absolutely love it. The application goes smoothly and it does a good job at finishing blending out my crease color with the highlight.

Up next is Maybelline's 24hr Color Tattoo.

I purchased the color Tough as Taupe cause I saw MakeupJunkiiee18 use it in one of her looks. I fell in love with the color immediately. Unlike MakeupJunkiiee18 I did not use it as an eye-shadow but rather like most consumers I used it as a base. I had no problems with creasing and my eye-shadow as with any other good base was very opaque. I must say that Tough as Taupe is a color/shade that is quite unique.

It is a mixture of a light brown and gray which I guess is exactly the description of taupe! Lol. I have the color tattoo sitting in my make-up drawer in the summer heat of NY and it has not even melted or become a sloppy consistency. Definitely a good thing, when I applied it to my eyelids it wasn't as creamy as NYX's jumbo pencils but at the same time I did not have to rub on my eyes for dear life to apply it. To sum it up I have no regrets purchasing this product. Here's a better view of Tough as Taupe in natural lighting.

Please don't mind my nails. * embarrassed face*

And here are some pictures of swatches that I took....

As for the Pond's cleansing wipes I don't have much to say about it cause I have yet to use them. I usually use my Absolute! Aloe wipes to remove my make-up, the Pond's being a travel size product I thought I would use them when I was not at home and needed all my make-up messiness off of my face. When I actually try them out I may write a review/opinion for you guys. If not I am sure you all can find other reviews out there on the wipes.

Now if you would like to see my separate review of the Baby Lips please click here

Baby Back Lips?

Okay so one of the best products to ever touch my lips...is Baby Lips by Maybelline. And as such I had to come and write a post for you lovelies to share my thoughts on this wonderful lippie!

I currently own two of the Baby Lips the first one purchased was Grape Vine and then because I loved the hell out it and I initially wanted the Cherry Me I returned and bought it. The packaging I think is just "cute" nothing too fabulous but it's not too shabby either. Unlike the Wet n Wild's chap-stick Baby Lips packaging doesn't feel nor appear to be cheap. After a couple of uses it does seem like the lid doesn't snap unto the stick of the chap-stick as tight as before but it poses no big issue.

There is a good amount of product (as seen in the above picture) and for someone with huge lips and a tendency to always need a lippie to keep my lips moisturized it is still holding up well and I have yet to finish one. And for the price of $4.99...for a chap-stick I would expect besides good quality a good amount of product. So thumbs up to Maybelline for at least matching the price up with the quantity of product.

Now lets move onto the actual effects Baby Lips has on the lips. First off they claim it gives you eight hours of hydration and visibly renewed lips in four weeks. I have never had a chap-stick moisturize my lips as well as Baby Lips. Sometimes if I slip up and swipe the product more than twice on  my lips it becomes overbearingly greasy. So I definitely suggest being careful when applying. But regardless of this I can not say I have had eight hours of hydration using Baby Lips.

However, here are some pictures of my lips a bit dried and then the moisturizing effect of Baby Lips (Grape Vine) on my lips.

As you can see Baby Lips does a fantastic job at hydrating the lips. And the smell of the products are divine as well. As for color payoff...personally I can't see any color from the grape not a purpl-ish tint or a red-ish tint from the cherry Baby Lips. There are four other shades Quenched, Peppermint, Pink Punch and Peach Kiss. From my understanding Pink Punch has great color payoff and Peach Kiss has a decent amount of payoff as well.

I love Baby Lips and would recommend this product to you lovelies out there, but if you're looking for color payoff as well as hydration...Baby Lips may not be for you. Otherwise...what are you waiting for...head out to your local Walegreens, Target, Duane Reade, CVS etc and pick you up some!

A Strawberry Shortcake Parfait?!?

Hey lovelies I wanted to come on and just do a very quick (hopefully, lol) post of a delicious desert that I tried out the other day. As the heading illustrates I had a strawberry shortcake parfait from Wendy's. Basically it consisted of vanilla ice-cream, strawberry syrup, one or two slices of strawberry, whip cream at the top and of course some shortcakes crumbs. The size that I purchased was $1.49 and I wasn't disappointed with the taste or the size of the desert.

Trust me guys I found nothing "wrong" or disappointing with this piece of heaven. For me the size was just right cause anything bigger wouldn't have been good for my diet. The price as well was suited for the size of the cup and the taste was incredible. I would def suggest that the next time any one of you all go to Wendy's to try out the strawberry shortcake parfaits. You will not be let down!

#NOTW: Marble Finesse

Okay so I have been slipping on my blog posts! I am so sorry for that but it does not mean that I have stopped taking pictures for the blog or that I stopped thinking about you guys    :-). So to start of my return back from my little hiatus I am bringing to you guys a #NOTW. This was last week's nails and it was a marble design, I really do love this design simple cause it loos pretty and it brings out a very creative side to a person. Without further delay here is a picture of the nails.

I should also mention that this was my very first attempt  at a marble design such as this one. I used four colors: TLC, Pastel Purple and Pastel Blue from KleanColor and a White from Soo Nails. To blend the colors in I should have used a toothpick but I did not have one so I used a needle and it didn't do too bad, I love this design and the next marble design I create I think I will use less colors. I would also like to inform you all that I learned and got inspiration for these nails from Chelsea of Get Nailed. If you would like to see that video just click here.

Let me know what you guys think of my first attempt at marble nails.

#NOTW: Wet N Wild's "Bite the Bullet"

I am terribly sorry lovelies I am extremely late with this week's #NOTW post...but better late than never, is what I say. :-) Anyways moving on...this week I was very excited to go into Walgreens and pick up some more of the new Megalast nail-polishes from Wet N Wild. And it goes without saying that I had to try one out immediately. I chose to use Bite the Bullet and it is a gorgeous purple/mauve/eggplant color, lmao that's the best way I can describe the colors guys. The pictures I have taken do NOT correctly illustrate it's color. Anyways, I painted all my fingers with Bite the Bullet, but decided to do a paint splatter effect on my ring fingers. I chose a black from L.A. Colors, a deep purple for NK and then I Need a Refresh-Mint from Wet N Wild. This was the result......

The above picture was taken in natural sunlight outside.

The application of this polish was FLAWLESS!!!!! It went on smoothly and beautifully and one coat of this nail-polish was pigmented enough to leave as is, but I must have some type of issue where regardless of the intense pigmentation of one coat of a nail-polish I still HAVE to apply two coats. It dried fairly well...as for chipping it did not last any longer than any other of my nail-polishes. Still a nail-polish this gorgeous, pigmented and with a unique color I would definitely suggest you guys to pick it up! ;-)
